My Approach:
I strive to create a safe and supportive space which allows people to feel comfortable and open to sharing their thoughts and feelings. I incorporate various CBT techniques, family history, and relational dynamics into my approach. I introduce new coping skills, help people increase self awareness, build upon strengths, identify problematic thoughts and behaviors, all of which helps people gain insight into present problems. Throughout therapy, I help people work on the 'here and now' issues while examining how past experiences may be impacting their current problems. Therapy sessions can help people uncover what is keeping them stuck while giving them the tools they need to move forward and begin enjoying life again. Sessions Details:
Individual sessions are 45-50 minutes in length. I recommend weekly sessions in the beginning of therapy to help progress. As therapy progresses, we will work together to decide if therapy can be reduced and/or be completed.
